Hey, it’s Scott Todd from buyriverranch.com and this question we tend to get it a lot, especially for campsites, or really only for campsites, is, “Can I put a well on the property?”
And the answer is really it’s up to.
You see, the wells that are out there are typically shallow wells. They’re not deep wells. You’re probably not going to be able to put a deep well out there. It’s going to end up being a shallow well.
Most people do them on their own. It’s not necessarily like a well company that’s going to come out there and do it.
You’re really not going to be able to get building permits for River Ranch. The county is just not going to give them to you.
So what most people do is they do end up putting a well out there, and it’s kind of one the shallower wells.
There’s a lot of people out there at River Ranch that have experience with that because they’ve done it themselves.
As I understand – I’ve never done it myself, I mean I do have some experience in helping someone do it – you’re just really digging the pipes into the ground, PVC pipes in different places, using a pump to suck up the water and since the water table’s so close to the ground, especially in River Ranch, it shouldn’t really be a problem.
So River Ranch doesn’t preclude you from installing a well. It’s up to you. It’s going to have to be a shallow well.
Hope that answers your question. If you have more questions please be sure to shoot me a note, and if you’re looking for land at River Ranch, please be sure to visit buyriverranch.com.
